Will I look like I am reading?

The teleprompter sits right under the camera, so your eyes stay within a few degrees of the lens. It shows two lines at a time, follows your pace and waits on every pause, which keeps your delivery natural.

Do my recordings get uploaded anywhere?

No. Recording, trimming and caption rendering all happen on your Mac, and finished files are saved to your Movies folder. Only your script prompt and the audio needed for captions are sent to the AI models.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Scripts are written with Claude through Anthropic’s API, which does not train on your prompts or scripts.

Which Mac, camera and browser do I need?

Any Mac with Chrome or Safari. The built-in MacBook camera and microphone work out of the box, and so does any external webcam or mic macOS can see. No lights or extra gear required.

Will the video play properly on X?

Exports are H.264 MP4s cropped to 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 or 16:9, which X accepts as a native video when you paste it into the composer. Free X accounts can post videos up to 2 minutes 20 seconds.

Can I record without a script?

Yes. Start a freestyle take and just talk. Pauses are still cut and captions are still timed to every word.

How is this different from CapCut or Descript?

Those are editors: you record somewhere else, then cut and caption by hand. Readymade covers the part before and after the camera, writing what to say, holding it under the lens and handing you a finished video. There is no timeline to learn.
